Since 1983, Peaceable Kingdom Press has been dedicated to creating a unique collection of stationery products that honor and celebrate the art of children's book illustrators.

The founders of Peaceable Kingdom Press, Thacher and Olivia Hurd, were no strangers to children's book publishing. Thacher, the son of publishing luminaries Edith and Clement Hurd, is an accomplished picture book author and illustrator with several titles to his credit including Cat's Pajamas and Art Dog. His father, Clement, illustrated what is perhaps the most beloved children's book of all time, Goodnight Moon.
